Publisher’s Weekly

The first pre-publication review of What Happened to Sophie Wilder is out, and it can be found here. It says some nice things about the book, including calling it “a thoughtful journey about the place of intellectual curiosity in relation to faith, friendship, and love.” It also calls me “smart,” or at least, “smart enough.” Those looking for a basic plot summary of the book with fewer than one error per sentence of summary will be disappointed, but places like Publishers Weekly are basically factories that churn out these hundred word reviews, and quality control is not a top priority. It’s now just about exactly two months until the book comes out, so there may be more of these “pre-pubs” coming. There may also not be. Either way, I’m going to experiment with trying to post more frequently on this site, and eventually I will put up a schedule of events surrounding the release of the book.
